Giovanni Rossetti has cultivated a passion for oil from an early age, a period in which, in addition to university studies, he led the family oil mill with commitment. In 1995, Giovanni decided to create an organic olive grove which today includes a cultivation of about 24 hectares of certified organic olive trees (over 9,000), located on a gentle hill in the district of Boccafolle di Mottafollone (Cosenza). Thus was born the Tenuta Rossetti.
With the help of his sons Mario and Pier Giorgio, over time, a solid family-run company has been established, which, with the dedication, commitment and diligent work of a highly specialized staff, places a high quality product on the market. a very high purity: an artisanal, niche oil, a precious result of completely organic agriculture. Each step that involves the production of Tenuta Rossetti oil enhances and maintains the specific characteristics of the olive: care is needed to preserve it in all its high organoleptic and nutritional qualities.
In Italy, extra virgin olive oil has always been famous for its quality and quantity. The annual production is around 200 thousand tons. Calabria is one of the regions with the highest production rate. The territory in which Tenuta Rossetti is located is an ideal area for the production of oil and is the starting point from which our history is born.
An Evo oil is obtained exclusively from olives by mechanical means, without the addition of chemical additives that alter the natural taste and are harmful to the health of consumers. The analyzes on the product confirm it as a 100% natural organic product.
In Mottafollone there are also cereals, wheat, vegetables, fruit and grapes. The breeding is, instead, based on cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and poultry.
